Meet The Team

About Me
Justin is an attorney who founded Work Lawyers PC in 2018 to become a voice for California employees. Justin’s firm offers quality legal representation to California employees in a practical and straightforward manner on a cost effective “no win, no fee” basis. From 2019 to 2021 Justin was selected as a “Rising Star” as an Employment and Labor Lawyer by Super Lawyers.
My Background
Justin was born in Canada to immigrant parents who valued the principles of hard work and treating people right. Besides the need for each person to earn a living and support their family, Justin understood the importance of a fair workplace where employees are paid properly and can work with dignity and appreciation.
Upon moving to California, he enrolled at UC Irvine where he graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. In 2011, Justin earned his law degree from UCLA School of Law. Immediately after graduation, Justin served as a Deputy City Prosecutor with the City of Pasadena. There, he prosecuted various crimes and gained valuable courtroom and trial experience. Wanting to work with individuals , Justin founded Work Lawyers PC to help employees stand up for themselves and speak out against their employers.
As an expatriate Canadian, he believes Tim Hortons has a leg up on Dunkin Donuts, and Trader Joe’s butter chicken would make Canada a warmer and better place. Justin has enjoyed making Torrance his home for the last 10 years and enjoys the crinkle cut fries and Del Taco on the weekend.

Since joining Work Lawyers PC in July 2021, May has shown an impeccable track record of helping her clients recover unpaid wages and compensation for the employers’ violation of the law. May represents employees in both individual and representative class and PAGA actions. May is a dedicated advocate of employees’ rights, always making sure her clients recover what they are owed. Through her diligence and straightforward approach, May helped many clients obtain satisfactory settlements through arbitrations and mediations. However, she is not afraid to litigate and to take her opponents to court.
Prior to joining the firm, May represented small businesses in the San Gabriel Valley—where she grew up—in civil, business, and employment disputes. She has argued before the California Courts of Appeals with two of her appellate cases resulting in published court decisions on matters of first impression.
May graduated magna cum laude from Southwestern Law School in 2015 in the top 5% of her class. During law school, May was on the executive board of the Southwestern Law Review as a Lead Articles Editor. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and History from UC San Diego in 2008.
Despite the adversarial nature of litigation, May finds the practice of law extremely rewarding. In particular, she enjoys using the law to help the “little guy” to even the playing field against large corporations. During her free time, she enjoys spoiling her two dogs, Ginger and Lemur (the love of her life), and trying out new boba tea and coffee shops. She hopes that one day, she can own a large ranch to have her own dog sanctuary and to rescue all shelter dogs.

Jarrod has joined Work Lawyers PC with over 20 years of civil litigation experience. He represented both employees and employers in many litigation matters, including individual and representative PAGA and class action matters, wrongful termination, sexual harassment, hostile work environment, disability discrimination, in addition to other employment related matters. Jarrod’s extensive experience in litigation combined with his commitment to helping workers has been a great addition to the firm.
Jarrod received his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Criminology, Law and Society from UC Irvine and his law degree from Chapman University School of Law.
During his free time, Jarrod can often be found spending time with his family and coaching youth basketball. Jarrod is an avid fan of the Lakers and Dodgers.
REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE:
Successfully briefed and argued that a Chapter 7 trustee was not a “party in interest” with standing to move for an extension of bar date for creditor to file nondischargeability complaint, resulting in the published decision, In re Tara Virginia Owen-Moore, 435 B.R. 685 (Bankr. S.D. Cal. 2010).

Andrews joined Work Lawyers PC with a background in protecting employees’ rights. Andrews intends to go to law school. Since graduating from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2022, he has dedicated his energy to becoming a strong advocate for employees’ rights. When he was in college, Andrews served as a mentor for incoming minority students by developing their academic plan, locating resources specific to their major and led outdoor excursions with freshman students to build up their skills and confidence. Since joining Work Lawyers PC, Andrews has developed a commitment to provide legal assistance to the Hispanic community.
Andrews was raised by strong and independent parents who immigrated from San Luis, El Salvador. The strength and perseverance of his parents inspires to provide a helping hand to the Hispanic community by becoming a resource in fighting for their legal rights and protections.
When he is not busy fighting for employees’ rights, he loves to customize his Pontiac G8.

When Reveca became the first person in her family to graduate from a four year university, she was determined to make a difference in the lives of others. Graduating with a degree in criminal justice from Cal State Dominguez Hills, she aspired to help young offenders as a probation officer. She joined Work Lawyers PC in order to continue her passion for helping people fight for their legal rights.
As a first-generation immigrant, whose parents hail from Zacatecas, Mexico Reveca values and respects hard work, initiative and getting things done. Reveca finds joy in being able to work directly with exploited employees, offering practical assistance and being able to present their legal options. Helping employees who have suffered from unpaid wages, sexual harassment and discrimination brings her great personal satisfaction.

Through my work at Work Lawyers PC, I have been able to continue doing what I love, and it has inspired me to find a future in the legal field. It has helped me express my love of working with and assisting people. I know that the best way to stay motivated and focused is by visualizing your achievements and working hard to reach your goal.
